Submission Guidelines

The International Journal of Advances in Soft Computing and its Applications (IJASCA) accepts manuscripts exclusively through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) online submission platform.

Manuscripts submitted by e-mail will not be considered for peer review or publication.

All communications regarding manuscript submission, peer review, revisions, editorial decisions, and publication are conducted exclusively through the Journal's OJS platform.


1. Before You Submit

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript falls within the scope of the Journal.
  • The work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All listed authors have approved the submitted version.
  • The manuscript complies with the Journal's formatting requirements.
  • Ethical approval has been obtained where applicable.
  • Any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been properly disclosed in accordance with the Journal's AI Policy.
  • All required files have been prepared for submission.

Authors are encouraged to review the Journal's Publication Ethics, Copyright, Licensing & Author Rights Policy, and Publication Fees (APC) before submitting their manuscripts.


2. Online Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Completing all submission metadata.
  • Providing accurate author information.
  • Uploading all required manuscript files.
  • Confirming that all authors approve the submission.

The Journal does not accept manuscript submissions by e-mail.


3. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.

Authors should prepare their manuscripts using the Journal's official template.

The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format.

Authors should not modify the predefined styles, fonts, margins, or formatting provided in the Journal template.


4. Manuscript Structure

A typical manuscript should contain the following sections where applicable:

  • Title
  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  • ORCID iD (recommended)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review (where applicable)
  • Materials and Methods / Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Funding Statement (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Data Availability Statement (where applicable)
  • References

5. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should contain 150–250 words and clearly summarize:

  • Background
  • Objective
  • Methodology
  • Main Results
  • Conclusion

The abstract should not include references, tables, figures, equations, or undefined abbreviations.

Authors should provide 4–6 keywords that accurately describe the content of the manuscript.


6. Figures, Tables, and Equations

Figures, tables, and equations should:

  • Be numbered consecutively.
  • Be cited in the text in numerical order.
  • Include clear and descriptive captions.
  • Be of publication-quality resolution.
  • Be supplied in editable or high-quality formats whenever possible.

Figure captions should appear below the figure.

Table titles should appear above the table.


7. References

References should be prepared according to the Journal's required citation style.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • All references are accurate and complete.
  • Every reference cited in the text appears in the reference list.
  • Every reference listed has been cited in the manuscript.
  • Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are included whenever available.

8. Templates

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare manuscripts using the official IJASCA manuscript template.

Failure to comply with the Journal template may delay the editorial process.


9. Supplementary Materials

Authors may submit supplementary files to support their research, including:

  • Datasets
  • Source code
  • Multimedia files
  • Additional figures
  • Appendices
  • Other supporting materials

Publication of supplementary materials is subject to editorial approval.


10. Final Submission Checklist

Before completing the submission, authors should confirm that:

✔ The manuscript is within the scope of the Journal.

✔ The manuscript follows the official Journal template.

✔ The manuscript has been carefully proofread.

✔ All figures and tables are correctly numbered and cited.

✔ References have been checked for completeness and accuracy.

✔ Similarity and originality requirements have been met.

✔ Ethical approval has been obtained where applicable.

✔ AI-assisted content has been disclosed where applicable.

✔ All authors have approved the submitted version.

✔ All required files have been uploaded through the OJS submission system.
