In this paper, the growing trend of legal documents and the need for efficient methods for processing and representing legal knowledge have been investigated. Even though there is significant progress in legal natural language processing, there is still little research related to Arabic legal documents due to the complexity of the Arabic language, specific legal terminology, and lack of available resources. Two main contributions are offered by the paper. First, the comprehensive survey of Arabic and multilingual legal document processing is provided with the analysis of existing methods for Legal AI, legal ontologies, and knowledge graphs. Second, the Arabic legal ontology and building a prototype knowledge graph based on Jordanian Labor Law are presented. The proposed approach provides a foundation for further applications of Arabic Legal AI.
